4 Top iPhone Sports Games You Should Be Trying Your Hand At…
Sports Games For Your iPhone
Sports games are big in the gaming community - who hasn’t had the Fifa/Pro Evo debate or tried their hand at Wii Sports? Sports and games go hand in hand so when you have a beautiful piece of kit such as the iPhone it’s important to understand which sporting games suit the device the best!
Real Soccer 2009
Despite the name including the word “soccer” the game is actually a whole load of fun packed into a tidy app. All thanks go to Gameloft for bringing this game to the masses. Real Soccer 2009 brings with it all the fun of football gaming straight to the iPhone without much compromise. While most other football games have a feel of the 80s this one has a sense of reality that is truly refreshing for a mobile phone.
You can play a game, have a penalty shoot out and even have a go at a practice game - all in 3D. You can even have your pick of 198 teams each with realistic player stats and there are 12 different cups that you can work towards unlocking!
Air Hockey
If you want to build up a sweat then forget football or rugby - instead play a game of air hockey. If you aren’t near a real air hockey table then the iPhone experience is just as convincing if not even more fun!
You’re looking down at the table and it’s a free-for-all where the first person to reach 7 ‘goals’ is the winner! If you can come up with a reason why you should actually stop playing then you deserve some kind of medal…this game is surprisingly fun and a great way to look like a prat on the bus.
Raging Thunder
Sometimes all you need to do is have a good old car race. If you have to race on the iPhone then you’re best off doing it through the magic of the Raging Thunder game…
The controls are simple and the graphics are fairly good for the iPhone. You get given the chance to race with 4 different cars on 10 different courses. Furthermore you get to have a race against your mates in the Wi-Fi multi-player option…you can finally know who is really faster!
Tennis Slam
Tennis was rushed back to popularity on gaming consoles through Wii Sports where you got to thrash the little yellow ball using your little Miis…that was great fun, but what do you do when you don’t have your Wii anywhere near you? Have a go at Tennis Slam to keep you happy…
However, don’t expect to get the same experience on your iPhone…Tennis Slam tries but doesn’t exactly win at emulating tennis for the iPhone. You don’t get much chance to move and swing easily which can obviously get quite annoying when you start losing badly. However if you like tennis then it’s worth a go!
