6 iPhone Music/Gaming Collaborations We Are Thankful For

Top iPhone Music Games

When you have an iPhone or an iPod Touch it’s hard to decide which aspect of the device you like best – are you more interested in listening to music or do you prefer playing games?  After all the unit is designed to do both beautifully…

Well, there is no need to worry because we’ve compiled some of the top games available for the iPhone/iPod Touch platform that are involved with music – read on to find the best music/game compilations to keep you busy;

Aero Drum

It’s like Guitar Hero for the graphically challenged…and it uses drums instead of guitars…you are tasked with following a dandy little beat by tapping your finger on one of either the symbols or drums.  If only there was a version for the guitar…

Aero Guitar

Thank the lord, there is indeed a version of Aero Drum for the guitar – it’s called Aero Guitar.  As with Aero Drum you have to follow a tune by tapping on the notes when they appear – it’s a bit of a rip of Tap Tap Revenge and Guitar Hero but if you want a bit of fun then you’ll get it…it’s just a shame there isn’t a keyboard version too…

Aero Synth

Wow – we have a collection.  Aero Synth allows you to tap the objects on the screen to keep the beat bouncing – dare I suggest you plug your iPhone into a speaker kit and fill your room with banging tunes?

synthPond Lite

synthPond lets you tap the screen and create sweet, sweet music in the form of ripples – you get the opportunity to play around with the pitch and speed, etc…

Tap Tap Revenge

Welcome to one of the Kings of the AppStore gaming world – Tap Tap shot to the top of the pile becoming one of the AppStore’s highest selling games and for good reason too.

As Aero Guitar provides a bit of a 1980s window to a Guitar Hero knock off, Tap Tap manages to re-invent the idea making you feel that you can indeed rock out with the best of them.  Are you cool enough to play it though?  Probably…

rePete

rePete it a little bit aimed at the under 10s but that’s OK because here at Jug we like to cater for everyone’s needs.  rePete shows you a number of coloured squares that flash and you then press them in the same order.  Not exactly complex in its thinking but this game can be a winner if you need to win over an 8 year old while you steal his sweeties…

Music or Gaming?

What do you think of our collection?  Do you prefer using your iPhone for music or gaming?  What music games do you love to have a play on…leave us a comment and let us know what you think…
