The iPhone is a great gaming device but sometimes it’s good to have a play on games that have a unique spin and that don’t conform to the norm…
Bomberman Touch
This game is for you if you have even wanted to be just like Indiana Jones and get your exploring cap on. The game provides an interesting twist on controls and makes you think rather than simply dragging you from one level to the next.
However the game fails to deliver and ends up being a little boring and a bit disappointing – instead of playing Indiana Jones for an hour or so you end up wanting more which is not the kind of experience you dish out the pennies for.
Enigmo
Everyone loves the odd puzzle. Puzzles in 3 dimensions are even better. This game is fun and gets you thinking…put the Sudoku away and instead give your brain a real challenge.
Basically the game involves routing water lava or oil around different levels in a way that could remind you of your Physics classes as a kid. Use the objects in the level to move the liquids around – this isn’t the cheapest game you’ll find on the AppStore but it will give you a good challenge.
Ms. Pac Man
It is as if you had an old arcade emulator right there on your iPhone – one look and you feel like your back in the 80s, and in a nice way too!
We all know what we have to do in Ms. Pac Man but with this app you get to control her with an old style joystick which makes the game a real pleasure to play. Retro gaming is here and it’s well worth your time and money!
iKick
Simplicity is something that will always win with the general public and this game is no exception. Keep the football in the air by tapping it – talk about addictive gaming.
If you are used to Mario Kart and Unreal Tournament you might want to skip past this app but if you like to waste your time playing pointless addictive games then you should definitely be having a go at iKick.
Billy Frontier
“Go ahead, punk…” – that’s right this is a shoot ‘em up game. There aren’t enough of them out there for any platform really. I don’t understand why, this game is a good bit of fun if you want to release some old style bullet fury on some unsuspecting bulls or gunslingers…
If you like Western movies and have always wanted to see if you were a quick draw then you should definitely give the game a go…if you fell asleep on a Sunday afternoon in front of that black and white Western then forget it.
