Manhunt 2 on PSP gets Spooky Release date
Widely known as one of the most controversial games of all time, Manhunt 2 has finally been given a release date for the PSP, and it will sit well with those who love to dress up like a psychopath – October 31st.
A BBFC favourite, Halloween seems perfect for a release for the game that sends chills down (wimpy) people’s spines. The good thing is that the game will only cost £24.99.
The game, from the guys who brought you Grand Theft Auto, Rockstar, was hounded by critics who labelled the game as a ‘guide to kill people’, and that it would incite hate crimes and so forth. The BBFC refused to rate the game, delaying its release, but after months of appeals from the Video Game Committee, the BBFC overturned their decision and the game hit the shelves, satisfying customers rampant bloodlust.
The question is will anyone buy the game? On PSP, it has had pretty shoddy reviews, and it’s been so long now that the moment may have passed. The publisher will doubtless be pushing it on to our TV screens and the internet to ensure they get their moneys worth, but is it too little too late?
