Spore Gloops its way onto iPhone
The game that’s had PC users panties in a twist for a couple of days now has finally been released on the Apple App Store, four days later than expected, but it will still ride on the wave of last Fridays PC version launch.
The iPhone version costs a rather enticing £5.99, and like the mobile ad iPod versions, the games centres on the cell evolution part of the game, with the player controlling your little creature and moulding however you like.
The features of this game make it stand out form other mobile versions as the iPhone allows you to control your little creature through motion control – you twist and turn the handset to move it around. The creature editor uses touch screen to full effect, which is also pretty nifty.
A neat little addition is that you can ‘skin’ your Spore using pictures from your iPhone photo album. You have 30 levels to play through, and two game modes – Evolution and Survival.
You’ll have to use cunning to find the game if you search by release date in the App Store, it’s listed as September 5th, which the last time I checked, is wrong…
