The Free AppStore Games You Should Be Playing Right Now!

AppStore games that you should be aware of…

As the iPhone’s success swells over into 2009 with a big smile on its face it’s a good idea to know which games you should be having a go at.  Below is a list of a few of the games that you should be looking at and downloading as soon as you’ve finished reading;

•    Real Football 2009 – If you want to get a real life feel of the football stadium, the crowd and the sweat then grab yourself a PlayStation 3 and a copy of Fifa 09.  If you want to be able to get pretty close on your iPhone then download this little app.

The graphics don’t exactly scream out expensive technology but Real Football 2009 is far beyond other mobile football games that are available in the market.  The game play is smooth and fast and you’re guaranteed a tense play of the beautiful game.

For 6 quid you can’t really go wrong – for your money you get 198 teams, 12 stadiums and the added advantage of 3 dimensions.  Granted a lot of apps on the AppStore are free but sometimes you have to spend a few pennies for a better experience!

•    Aurora Feint – If Snake for the Nokia is anything to go by then you’ll know that the simplest of games can actually be the most addictive to play.  In Feint you will be spending most of your time lining up stones in a Connect4 style, working your way through the game as you go.

Get your hands on Aurora Feint as soon as possible because it’s free right now, but the tides might change and the developers might feel as though they’re missing some of the action.

•    Air Hockey – Whenever I see an Air Hockey table I have an urge to have a game.  I don’t know what it is.  It could be the excitement of the air blowing through the tiny pinholes or the chance to smash a flat disk into the opposing goal.

Well now I don’t have to waste my 50p coins on the real game and neither do you as the app of the popular game is now available.  For the tiny fee of 59p you can get your hands on the app which you can play with a mate, each of you holding one end of the iPhone.

You also have the option to play against the computer so if you don’t have any friends you can still have fun.

•    iBowl – As you might have guessed this game involves bowling.  The fun comes when you actually have to swing your phone as you would in real life – just make sure you have a firm grasp and whatever happens don’t let go!

It’s free and a great way to spend an hour in a crowded area – love it!
