Time Wasting Apps You Should Own
Don’t kid yourself – you bought an iPhone because you knew you would have some time to waste on useless apps. If you wanted a business phone you would have been a tad more professional and sprung for a Blackberry. But what apps could be the best time suckers for you? There are a fair few of them out there – read on to find the best time waster for you…
• Scratch – If you’ve been having those DJ daydreams for some time now but haven’t yet plucked up the courage to take a trip down to Argos to buy the “no frills” decks then maybe this is the App that you should be downloading.
Select a song and scratch to it – easy enough. The point is that you can scratch and scratch and then when your bored you can scratch some more…it’s a simple method that springs up a lot in this list. Just keep going living that dream.
• PhoneSaber – A few years ago I bought my very own “flick out” plastic light saber. It made me feel like a Jedi for all of 15 seconds and when the moment had passed I understood what a waste of £20 the saber was.
However, when you have got an iPhone and you want to turn it into a better looking light saber than the plastic piece of junk that I bought all you have to do is download PhoneSaber. Complete with glow and battle sounds you won’t look out of place at a Star Wars convention in your Darth Vader costumer.
Do it on the bus and people might look at you funny but that’s their problem…
• Cube Runner – There is always a time in a person’s life when they turn to their family and friends and say that it’s time that they downloaded a game that let them fly in a ship through a collection of boxes.
Maybe it didn’t happen to you or anyone you know but the option to actually do it is still available to you in the Cube Runner app. Let’s be honest it’s not winner but if you want to have a go at an addictive game then this is the one for you.
If you don’t care about graphics or intellectual depth then give it a go…I promise if you’re not hooked after a couple of minutes then you can get rid of it…
• myLite Coloured Strobe and Flashlight – If I handed you a simple torch or flashlight for you to play with you would probably throw it back in my face and insult my mother. How about if I gave you the same thing but in a tidy app version – you’d love me forever right?
If you spend a lot of time in a dark room and you are always looking for things then you are going to have hours of fun with this app that (you guessed it) acts as a light source – you can even scare epileptics with the strobe setting, although we don’t advice doing that at all…seriously!
