Racing through the iPhone

If racing games are your thing but when it comes to the iPhone you don’t know where to turn, then this is the article that’s going to fill you in!

Racing games are slowly becoming a lost art form and they aren’t given much emphasis on the iPhone platform either, but that doesn’t matter because the gems are out there and we’re going to tell you about them!

After all, the iPhone and all of its fantastic features is a great platform for racing as the built in motion sensors and accelerometer allow you to get the real feel of a racing game without the need to a steering wheel and acceleration pedal.

Asphalt 4

Drive around either LA, New York or Shaghai in a variety of different cars.  Drive against opponents and taken them down with a quick knock the side or smack them from behind.

Furthermore you can race against your mates for a more personal beat down - use the wi-fi to connect iPhones and race away…you in a Bugatti, them in Mini Coopers.  The fun will rattle on until the early hours.  You can even drift in this game so you can really get a good feel of the driving experience.

Cro-Mag Rally

One of the most loved racing games out there, Cro-Mag Rally is similar to the likes of Mario Kart games so you’ll always want to come back for more.  However, the game is packed with detail and colours making the whole experience realistic and truly fun.

There are 9 levels to drive around in taking you from one extreme venue to another making the game exciting from the get-go.

Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D

If you want speed then Crash Bandicoot isn’t the game you want to be downloading - if it’s all out weaponry and fighting in a cartoon like theme then this is exactly what you want.

It’s everything you could want in a Crash Bandicoot game directly on your iPhone so you won’t get bored quickly.  It’s like Mario Kart where you have to disrupt your opponent’s drive using explosives and oil slicks - collect the letters to make us CRASH and you unlock new levels.  Hours of fun…

GTS World Racing

How many tracks does it take to fill your day with fun and excitement?  64…it’s lucky that that’s how many levels GTS delivers.  Furthermore you get a staggering 16 different world settings to play through and four different levels of difficulty - you could get this game now and still play it next year without getting bored.

Unfortunately there are only 3 different cars to choose from - what a shame as they can get pretty boring after a while…but look away from the car and you’re once again impressed with the surroundings…
