Top Classic iPhone Games You Should Own
In the 80s…
The 80s have definitely come back with a vengeance, not only through the popular style of fashion, but also through the beauty of the iPhone! Retro games are as popular as ever, but before you start wasting your time and money downloading the games that you can barely remember only to find out that they were actually a bit lame, read on to find out which ones are the top ones listen on the AppStore.
Space Invaders
As with a number of the games on this list, I won’t need to go into too much detail about the ins and outs of the game - who doesn’t remember Space Invaders? You have to stop an alien invasion of 2D spaceships who are looking to get past you and take over the world.
Space Invaders is considered one of the most successful arcade shooting games ever created and it’s understandable to see why - it seems that it has also stood the test of time as well as it still works beautifully on the iPhone unit.
Pac Man and Ms Pac Man
It was fairly obvious that the Pac Man games would feature on this list - if there are classic games to be spoken about then Pac Man will be one of them. Pac Man never seems to miss the button and entertains every time. And addictive much…yes!
Run around as a little round face gobbling up as many dots as you can but don’t forget to stay away from the coloured jelly monsters - hours and hours of fun and now you can play away all weekend from the comfort of your iPhone.
Frogger
I personally love have a quick go at this game. Get your little frog from one end of the road, past the cars and over the logs to the other side of the screen. What a fantastic opportunity to get absolutely hooked on a game!
It makes sense to see this game appear on the iPhone - the screen seems the perfect size and shape to make the game feel exactly the same as it did on the big old arcade machines of the 80s. If you want to get a taste of the beginnings of gaming then get your hands on this game.
Pong (Classic Qong Arcade)
Back when we were happy playing games in only black and white with pixels the sizes of footballs Pong was the king - and now little has changed as this little tennis style game still sparks excitement in even the most hardcore gamers out there.
Play with a mate in a battle to the death or play alone and try to beat the computer - either way you’re guaranteed a good old fashioned good time!
