Will iPhone feel the brunt of the Storm?

With the iPhone reigning supreme, and the blogosphere buzzing about the new Google Android phone, you could be forgiven for forgetting Research in Motion’s Blackberry. But, it would appear, a Storm is coming…

If you can pardon the terrible pun, the Blackberry Storm has been unveiled to the public for the first time, and reportedly features the world’s first “clickable” touchscreen.

Exclusively available on Vodafone in Europe, and Verizon Wireless in the US, the phones designers are raving about the new screen development. How can a touchscreen be clickable you ask? Well, the screen slightly depresses when pressed, giving a more natural clicky feel. The Storm also supports multi-touch, dragging and tapping.

Importantly for gaming, there is an accelerometer, which should enable tilt-based gaming, it features a full web browser, a 3,2 mega-pixel camera, GPS, 1GB of internal memory, and a 3.5mm headphone socket.

Vodafone will put the device on sale next month, and say that it is fully compatible with its Vodafone Live portal, which should see more games being made available in the coming months.
