Would You Pay A Monthly Subscription For Mobile Games?

Monthly SubscriptionsAs the mobile gaming industry continues to move ahead at full steam many are starting to understand how the system works and what it really has to offer. However, there has been some resistance to paying a monthly subscription for your mobile gaming needs. Would you pay a relatively low figure each month to get the best games around?

As with any new system, as soon as money is mentioned many people just turn off and go back to the way things used to be - probably their console games in this case – but with technology there is always a price to pay. While these mobile gaming systems may seem very simple to use and program on the surface, underneath, the task of getting enough capacity onto the handsets and enough coding to make a game playable and attractive is not easy.

The mobile gaming companies and the handset manufacturers realised a long time ago that the paying public would take time to persuade, but this is very much factored into their calculations. However, interestingly the companies involved already have a perfect back up plan, advertising with the free game downloads. The delivery system is perfect and the advertising opportunity will not pass the gaming industry by, offering a perfect way to advertise new games to an audience they know are already interested.

While there is still much work to be done with regards to mobile gaming, progress is being made and slowly but surely there are signs that the pubic are giving way. It will be interesting to see which delivery style the handset and game companies decide to use, and which one offers them the more lucrative opportunity.

One thing is for sure, mobile gaming is here to stay and can only grow in popularity!
